Burglars Shoot at Witness in Montclair

Oakland police said the witness was in his car on Thornhill Drive when he saw the burglary in progress

Bay City News Service—Oakland police are looking for suspects who committed a burglary on Thornhill Drive near Moraga Avenue Friday morning and then shot at a citizen who witnessed the incident and called police.

Police said the person was in a car on Thornhill Drive around 10:45 a.m. when he saw the burglary in progress and then called it in to dispatch.

The suspects shot at the citizen and then fled the area, according to police. The witness wasn't hit by the gunfire, police said.
