Memorial Website for Ambassador Chris Stevens
The family of the late J. Christopher Stevens has established a memorial website and asks for donations to a fund that will help build bridges between the peoples of the United States and the Middle East.
The famly of J. Christopher Stevens, the U.S. ambassador killed in Libya last week who was a 1978 graduate of Piedmont High School, has established a memorial website at www.rememberingchrisstevens.com. It is meant "to capture the memories of people touched by Chris, far and near," the site says.
"Chris had a passion for building bridges between the people of the United States and the Middle East," the site says. "In this spirit, a fund has been established in his name to support this important, yet unfinished, endeavor."

Stevens will also be honored during the half-time program at the Cal Homecoming football game on Oct. 6, according to Deborah Murphy of the University of California, Berkeley's office of university relations. Stevens graduated from UC Berkeley in 1982.
