Piedmont was heavily in attendance at the "Notes and Words" fundraiser for Children's Hospital of Oakland April 1 at the Fox Theater in Oakland. And the master of ceremonies — here we might coin the term "author of ceremonies" — was Piedmont's own Kelly Corrigan, best-selling writer of Lift and The Middle Place.
