Kaiser Permanente is California's Top-Ranked Health Plan
Lisbeth Allen September 21, 2013 at 11:22 am
My favorite medical time saver approach was the Kaiser doctor that told me he was going to ask meRead More questions while he did the pelvic exam. Really, doctor, you can't just speak to me face to face? It's an awkward situation no matter how many times you have had it done, and difficult to think when there is a strange man inserting a cold speculum as you lay there naked. Kaiser won't even warm the speculum. Later in the day it occurred to me that I gave him wrong information about something and I had to call back to make sure that information got to him. I think this is the official limit to multi-tasking.

The only plan available to me is with KP. There service is ok. Not great, but ok. Don't know if theyRead More are expensive or cheap. Getting other insurance quotes has never been a choice for me, at least not for a few years. I was forced to change doctors when I left the company that I was working for. I was using Blue Cross and had a huge choice of available doctors and specialist. When I lost that insurance the only insurance I could get was with KP (my wife's company insurance.) I was forced, due to the system that our state and nation has to use KP insurance and KP doctors. Not my choice but I have no alternative unless I use cash and no insurance. So, I never want to hear any crap about how a National Health Care program will force people to lose their doctors and be forced to use doctors chosen by the government. That is pure BS and anyone that thinks so simply has no clue what they are talking about. It is exactly the opposite. We are all forced to use only the doctors that our insurance companies allow us to use. I look forward to eventually having Medicare. I hope I live long enough to see a real National Health Care program and the total elimination of any and all medical insurance companies including the insurance provided by KP.
