Have you seen it? The black, white and purple flag that gets put up near Mulberry's parking lot? Why is it up?
Well, let me tell you about it. The flag is a feather flag that gets put up on the week of a home game. The flag says Friday Night Football and that is because this year all of the home games are on Friday nights. When you see the flag, start thinking about your plans for Friday night.
This Friday night the games are at 4:00 pm (JV) and 7:00 pm (Varsity) at Witter Field against John Swett.
The Piedmont teams are going into the game with wonderful records. The JV team is undefeated and the Varsity is 2 - 1. The cheerleaders, mascots and pep band will all be rocking and rolling. Boosters will have a special food event as well as the regular snack shack open.
The weather is expected to be good, but still bring a jacket or blanket for the latter part of the evening.
This week's game focus is "Bring a neighbor; Bring a friend" Can you believe it - some people have never been to a football game? These are Piedmont's teams and the players want the entire community to know how much they appreciate your support. As one of the players said, "Tell the fans to come on out and we'll do our best to give them a show".
