Piedmonters Talk About Father-Daughter Bond on CBS

Steve Addis and his daughter Sabina, a junior at Piedmont High School, appeared nationally on CBS This Morning today to talk about their father-daughter bonding tradition.

Piedmont resident Steve Addis and his daughter, Sabina, have had their portrait taken on the same New York City street corner for 15 years. They talked about their family tradition and showed photos chronicling one and a half decades of their New York trips on CBS This Morning.

The interview aired today (Saturday, Jan. 12). You may watch it here.

Addis also talked about the annual ritual recently on TED Talks. See that talk in the video at right.

It is so touching to see these beautiful photos, but what is even more touching is the clearly loving relationship between a father and daughter. Priceless!

I have a similar tradition with my daughter and other family members. We pose for the same picture every year: skiing in St. Moritz, Christmas in our chateau in Heidelberg, Easter in our Parisian loft home, Summers in Anguilla, and of course Autumns spent in our homes in Montauk and Hilton Head.

This is a touching and beautiful story. It is lovely to see that trust and belief in a father~ good luck with college prep Sabina! Fathers are an integral part of your life.
