Goats: Weed Control as Fun and Entertainment
Jukka Valkonen, chair of Piedmont's Park Commission, is an advocate for using goats to provide natural weed abatement. He and neighbors on Calvert Court hired Martin's Boer Goats, whose 10 goats are munching away on the hillside properties this week.
Neighborhood kids — the human kind — are thrilled with the goat show. The adults think it's both fun and environmentally sound.
