From a Bay area Children's Theatre press release:
The Bay Area Children’s Theatre’s production of Tales of Olympus: A Greek Myth Musical opens Saturday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. at the Arpeggio Center in Berkeley.
In this world premiere, the ancient Greek gods and goddesses look down from their home on Mount Olympus and see a fast-paced, modern world filled with folks who, gulp, don’t remember them. Holy Thunderbolts! Who will tell their stories? Calliope and Hermes descend from the mountaintop to ask 11-year-old Jason for his help.
Families seeking a unique way to celebrate the holidays will enjoy journeying with Jason to meet Zeus and the rest of the Olympian family, and to hear their intriguing adventures. Recommended for ages 6 and up.
Tales of Olympus is directed by Emily Morrison, with book, music and lyrics by Bay Area artist Min Kahng.
