Debbi DiMaggio Makes Waves with New Book

"Contained Beauty" uses photographs of swimming pools around the world as metaphors for Piedmont resident and Realtor Debbi DiMaggio's reflections on life and awareness.

Piedmont resident and Realtor Debbi DiMaggio is creating a splash with her first book, Contained Beauty: Photographs, Reflections & Swimming Pools.

The 10x12-inch coffee-table book is filled with more than 100 color photographs of swimming pools around the world, interlaced with Debbi DiMaggio’s reflections from her own life. The photographs take you to beautiful, private homes, unique resorts and chic hotels.

More than diving into a collection of images, submitted by photographers from around the world, you will come to understand DiMaggio’s definition of art: Architecture + Landscape + Swimming Pools = Inspired Beauty. You will glimpse Debbi’s family tree and her ties to ballplayer Joe DiMaggio, her third cousin, and read as she shares her discovery of “an authentic place.”

“The creative journey of Contained Beauty has provided me with clarity and awareness of who I am," DiMaggio says. "My hope is that the readers will use this book to understand and achieve their goals and dreams, too.”

The proceeds from Contained Beauty will be donated to the George Mark Children’s House serving the families of children with life-limiting illnesses, www.georgemark.org.

The 168-page book is currently available online through Amazon.com and will be in retail shops this month. Retail price: $34.95 plus tax.

My daughter was a camp counselor at this camp last summer. It is a really unique camp. What aRead More great experience for kids. I wish something like this was available when my kids were young. Parents should definitely check it out!!
