Why Go: If you've been yearning for a visit, but unsure of bringing your young kids, here is an opportunity to take a stroll through the garden organized by a docent and mom especially for little ones.

Why Go: Celebrate National Arts Education Month by viewing an exhibit of art by kids in grades 1-3 in all three elementary schools in Piedmont organized by P.A.I.N.T.S. Come with your little one to get them inspired to make their own art.

Why Go: Stop by the Montclair Branch Library for a short storytime with your toddler, browse books afterwards and treat yourself to a stroll in Montclair Village afterwards.

Where/When: Julia Morgan Center for the Arts, 2640 College Ave, Berkeley. Opening day Saturday, March 12, shows at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Why Go: You'll be transported through the magical cupboard to a land of mythical creatures in this musical adaptation of C.S. Lewis's famous fantasy.

Where/When: Museum of Children's Art (MOCHA), 538 9th St, Oakland. Saturday-Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
Why Go: If you haven't been able to make it to MOCHA's weekday drop-in art sessions, you might be glad to know that they also hold them on weekends, and these are not limited to 6 years old! Stop by with your kids of any age and create something new, and green, for St. Patrick's Day.
