Second Annual Walk Against Genocide on April 29

The walk starts at noon at the Lake Merritt Bandshell (close to Children's Fairyland, 699 Bellevue Ave., Oakland)

From an announcement by Walk Against Genocide:

April is Genocide Awareness and Prevention Month. The 2nd Annual Bay Area Walk Against Genocide is our way to take part.

Last year, hundreds of people walked including genocide survivors, community leaders, students and neighbors for a day of reflection, speeches, advocacy training, and a collective walk around Lake Merritt.

This year, the walk will take place on April 29, starting at noon, at the Lake Merritt Bandshell. The proceeds of the walk will benefit The Center for Justice and Accountability, The Genocide Education Project and the SF Bay Area Darfur Coalition.
