Piedmont Architect Wins Houzz Design Award

The portfolio that earned the award for William F. Holland, AIA, includes this kitchen addition, which also received a City of Piedmont Design Award in 2006

A kitchen and family room addition that won a City of Piedmont Design Award in 2006 has helped earn new kudos for the architect who designed it.

William F. Holland, AIA, a Piedmont resident himself, has received a Best of Remodeling 2012 design award from Houzz, an online remodeling site that's used by both professionals and home owners.

The award is based on how popular an architect's work is with site users, who can add photos from a designer's portfolio to their own "ideabooks," or collections of images. While the award encompasses more than one project, Holland said the Piedmont remodel – shown above – was his single most popular image with Houzz users.
