Park Board Eyes Bay-Friendly Landscaping

Also at today's Park Commission meeting: tree removal on Mesa and Monte avenues, the Ramona/Ronada Triangle and an update on the city's tree pruning contract

The Piedmont Park Commission will look at a proposed Bay-friendly landscaping ordinanace today at its 5:30 p.m. meeting in the City Hall council chambers, 120 Vista Ave.

Also on the agenda:

  • A public hearing on the recommended removal of seven trees on Monte and Mesa Avenues and Park Way. You may read more about the proposal in this article and view the arborist's report on the City of Piedmont website.
  • A public meeting for approval of the Ramona/Ronada Avenues Triangle Master Plan.
  • An update on the 2011-12 street tree pruning contract.
  • A report by Public Works Supervisor Dave Frankel on recent work at various parks, medians and other public open spaces, along with an update on the Moraga Avenue mudslide.
