Small Earthquake Reported Off the Coast

North of the San Francisco Zoo, south of the Golden Gate

Bay City News--The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting an initial 2.2-magnitude earthquake that shook just a few miles offshore from San Francisco this morning.

The quake was recorded at 12:46 a.m. about 4 miles west-northwest of the San Francisco Zoo in the Pacific Ocean, at a depth of about 5.5 miles, according to the USGS. The temblor had a depth of about 5.5 miles, according to the USGS.

A small number of people from Daly City north to Inverness reported feeling the quake.
