After kept the East Bay shaken from the afternoon into the evening, another set rumbled through the area early Saturday.
Initial reports from the U.S. Geological Survey put the first earthquake at magnitude 2.8 with a depth of five miles.
According to the USGS, the quake took place at 12:06 a.m. near the Hayward Fault.

The epicenter was near Tunnel Road and College Avenue in Berkeley, just south of UC Berkeley's Clark Kerr campus, where Thursday's quakes were centered.
A 1.3-magnitude tremor followed at 12:14 a.m., with a third one, listed as 2.5 magnitude, at 12:45 a.m.
