Assemblymember Nancy Skinner Endorses Tim Rood for City Council

Assemblymember Nancy Skinner (D-Berkeley) has endorsed Tim Rood for a Piedmont City Council seat in the Feb. 4 municipal election, according to a press release from the Rood campaign.

Rood, a member of Piedmont's Budget Advisory and Financial Planning Committee, is one of three candidates for the three open seats on the council. The other candidates are Teddy King, a member of the city's Recreation Commission, and Jeff Wieler, an incumbent who is seeking a second consecutive council term.

Rood met with Skinner on Jan. 24 to discuss fiscal and environmental issues and opportunities for Piedmont to collaborate with state government in areas such as climate change mitigation, active transportation and safe routes to schools, the press release says.

Skinner's 15th Assembly District includes Piedmont along with Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville and Piedmont, a portion of Oakland, and several cities in western Contra Costa County.
