Catch Me If You Can (live stage musical)

Piedmont resident Bob Moorhead will play the role of Frank Abagnale, Sr. in the bay area premiere of the stage musical Catch Me If You Can, based on the hit DreamWorks film starring Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Performances at Woodminster Amphitheater, August 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, at 8 pm.

This high-flying, splashy musical tells the story of Frank W. Abagnale, Jr., a teenager who runs away from home in search of the glamorous life. With nothing more than his boyish charm, a big imagination and millions of dollars in forged checks, Frank successfully poses as a pilot, a doctor and a lawyer – living the high life and winning the girl of his dreams. But when Frank's lies catch the attention of FBI agent Carl Hanratty, Carl chases Frank to the end...and finds something he never expected.

Woodminster Summer Musicals are performed outdoors in historic Woodminster Amphitheater in beautiful Joaquin Miller Park.  Come early and enjoy a picnic with your family, a walk in this hillside park, and the beautiful bay views.  As the sun sets, take your seats in the amphitheater and enjoy an evening of music and magic under the stars.

Tickets $28-$59 reserved seating, with discounts for children, seniors, and groups.  Kids Come Free program lets anyone up to 16 years old attend for free with a paying adult.  Final dress rehearsal  (August 7, 8 pm)  is open to the public as a Preview, all tickets $18 at the door, open seating.
