Creative Process: The paintings of
Karen LeGault are set apart by a deceptive simplicity and a refined traditional
Asian technique and aesthetic. Deeply rooted in Western realism and Taoist philosophy,
her lush, distilled compositions express beauty, fragrance, rhythm and form
through a magical palette where spirit is reflected through matter. She
applies her extensive artistic skill, mastery and sensitivity to compose and
balance color, shape, form and depth that engages all the senses, offering
gorgeous paintings, commissions or prints that define the spaces you live, work
and breathe in with vibrant color and life.

Connie Ozdil

Studio: Danville

Medium: Cotton and other fabrics

Her Art: Sun protective wear for children

Creative Process: The children’s
clothing that Connie creates brings style and sun safety without added
chemicals and toxins. Her goal is to provide comfortable, stylish clothing that
allows children to play in the sunshine, absorbing healthy vitamin D, without
suffering the effects of harmful UV rays. Connie’s clothing exceeds rigorous
Australian and New Zealand standards 4399 of UVB and UVA protection. Her
garments are completely free of chemical sun-protection treatments. The sun
protection comes from natural fibers only and better yet, the cotton she uses
is organic.

Gila Sagy

Studio: Concord

Medium: Glass

Her Art: Jewelry

Creative Process: “The many colors
and textures of glass make fusing so fascinating for me. Nothing can replace
the excitement of creating beautiful color combinations with glass. My
creations, which range from photo holders, jewelry, wine bottle platters and
more are all original, unique and one of a kind. Everything
is made of glass pieces in multiple colors and textures and the process of
firing in the kiln fuses all of the pieces together to become one, elegant
creation.”
