There's a new cloak-and-dagger blogger on Piedmont Patch this week, known only by the alias "Art Spy," who promises to reveal the state secrets of the local art scene.
I confess to knowing Art Spy's identity, and while I didn't exactly take a blood oath, I can keep a secret as well as the next reporter. (We practice by never naming off-the-record sources. Really.)
Here's what I CAN tell you about the Spy. He, she or it (even the Spy's gender shall remain a mystery) has some writing background, an enduring interest in the arts and a profession that's utterly unrelated to either of those fields. The Spy lives and works locally. The Spy promises to train a spyglass on many aesthetic endeavors, all within Alameda County.
