Sink Your Teeth Into Edible Halloween Decor

These Halloween-themed foods not only taste good, they look good too.

You don't have to sacrifice good taste when decorating for Halloween. If the thought of cartoonish pumpkin window clings makes your skin crawl, get inspired by these photos of ghoulish treats that double as decor. A pile of bone-shaped sugar cookies on the kitchen table just might make the pumpkin become obsolete. Coffin cake, anyone?

Coffin Cake
Think like a stiff and use dense brownie batter baked into coffin-shaped molds for easier handling when decorating. Drizzle with chocolate sauce for an extra decadent flavor. Then, place mini cakes on stands or display them in an antique-looking wood box.

Caramel Apples
Twigs transform the iconic caramel apple from ho-hum to horrifying. Find twigs strong enough to support the weight of an apple and cut them into 5-inch long pieces. Wash them in soapy water and let dry before using. Line up apples close together for a truly wooded look.

Bone Sugar Cookies
Bone-chilling sugar cookies will add deliciously wicked appeal to any table. Sprinkle cinnamon on top to make them look like they've been dug up from the dirt and scatter them in piles on the kitchen table. Also consider a graveyard presentation: Crumble chocolate cake and cookies into a pan and bury bone-shaped cookies in the dirt.

Caramel Popcorn Clusters
A mixed display of caramel popcorn clusters and vintage Halloween postcards and trinkets from the 1900s give an eerie feel to this old-fashioned treat. Spice things up by adding bacon and peanut butter candies to the caramel popcorn mix.

Halloween Punch for Adults
For an adults-only drink, mix hard cider, ginger ale and bourbon. Serve in a ghoulish skull container and make it the centerpiece of a table with grown-up treats.

Pumpkin Sunflower Seed Brittle Candy
Brittle gets seedy with the addition of Halloween flavors. Add sunflower seeds, pumpkin kernels, vanilla and pepper for a twist. Break it up to look like bark that's fallen from a dead tree and scatter around the table.

Skull Cake
Bake your favorite flavor cake in a skull-shaped mold, frost, and decorate with glitter-like topping. This deliciously scary treat will definitely turn some heads.
