Letter to the Editor: Margaret Fujioka Right for the Job

Deborah Van Nest writes in support of Marget Fujioka's candidacy for city council

I am supporting Margaret Fujioka for re-election to the City Council. I have known her for over thirty years, and she is the one to do the job! She has been an effective Council Member for almost four years, making thoughtful and informed decisions that benefit our entire community.

Additionally, she has a long history of ably serving our city.  She currently serves as Council liaison to the Piedmont Planning Commission and the Piedmont Public Safety Committee, which she was instrumental in creating.  She has served as Council liaison to the Piedmont Environmental Task Force, the Piedmont Capitol Improvement Projects (CIP) Committee, the PIedmont Recreation Commission, and as Piedmont's representative to the League of California Cities.

Prior to serving on the Council, Margaret was Chair of the CIP Committee, a member of the Centennial Committee and VP Enrichment of the Wildwood Parents Club.  She has over 20 years experience as a municipal lawyer.  Margaret Knows how this city works.  Her dedication to the wellbeing of Piedmont is genuine.  She listens to all and makes educated, fiscally responsible decisions on important topics.
