2-Acre Grass Fire Contained Near Highway 13
The two-alarm fire was reported at 4:28 p.m. near the Broadway Terrace exit on state Highway 13.

A 2-acre grass fire in the Oakland Hills has been contained this afternoon, a fire dispatcher said.
The two-alarm fire was reported at 4:28 p.m. near the southbound Broadway Terrace exit on state Highway 13. It burned an area beween the Lake Temescal Recreation Area and Hwy. 13 that one witness desribed as "about the size of a parking lot."

Children continued to play on the beach and small dogs frolicked at the edge of the water as firefighters put out the blaze.
It was contained at 4:45 p.m., the dispatcher said.
