Argument Led to Jack London Square Shooting

The five victims were reported in stable condition Monday morning.

Bay City News—The five victims shot outside an Oakland movie theater Sunday night were between the ages of 15 and 23 and were involved in an argument with the suspect, Oakland police said Monday,

The five were shot outside the Regal Theater in Jack London Square in the 100 block of Washington Street at 9:20 p.m. Two groups were involved in an argument there, and one of the people involved pulled out a gun and shot the five people, police spokeswoman Officer Johnna Watson said.

Four of the five victims were teenage males. Two are 15 years old, one is 17 years old, and the other is 18 years old. The fifth victim is a 23-year-old woman, Watson said.

Two of the victims were transported to a hospital by ambulance, while the other three transported themselves. They were all in stable condition Monday morning.

Watson said investigators are following leads in the case, including reviewing surveillance videos and interviewing witnesses. She said there was no indication that the people involved had gone to the movies that night.

My daughter was a camp counselor at this camp last summer. It is a really unique camp. What aRead More great experience for kids. I wish something like this was available when my kids were young. Parents should definitely check it out!!
