Earthquake in East Bay: Did You Feel It Wednesday Night?

Initial reports put the temblor at a 2.3 magnitude.


A 2.3-magnitude quake gave the Berkeley area a light rattle at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday.

The epicenter was southwest of the Claremont Resort.

I felt it! I too was waiting for a bigger one to rumble through after it.

No, I didn't feel it. I live on Derby about a mile away. I was sleeping at that time, or trying to sleep; since I am a chronic insomniac, I would have felt it if it had rattled my house.

I felt it (Albany near the Community Center) but it was no "bigger" than a truck rumble down the street. My reaction was that if it was an earthquake, it was really far away. Turns out it was just a baby one.
