Bay City News Service—Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Monday night in East Oakland, an Oakland police officer said.
The shooting in the 2000 block of MacArthur Boulevard (about two blocks west of Fruitvale Avenue) was reported at 10:20 p.m., according to police. A male adult was found with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. No suspects have been identified or detained, according to police.
Police are continuing to investigate a homicide that occurred earlier Monday night, reported at 8:56 p.m. in the 9000 block of MacArthur Boulevard, police said. A man was found there with multiple gunshot wounds and was also pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
