Man, 34, Fatally Shot Outside Home in East Oakland

Anyone with information is asked to call the Oakland Police Department's homicide division.

A 34-year-old man was fatally shot outside his home in East Oakland on Sunday afternoon, police said today.

The shooting in the 2100 block of 47th Avenue was reported just after 3 p.m. on Sunday, police said. Responding officers found the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to call the Oakland Police Department's homicide section at (510) 238-3821 or their anonymous tip line at (510) 238-7950.
