Oakland Man Arrested for Sunnyvale Burglaries

The suspect was in possession of stolen property when he was arrested.

An Oakland man was arrested in connection with a burglary of a Sunnyvale home was found lurking near another, police said Thursday.

Tariq Roddy-Figero, 18, was arrested Tuesday after officers located him in the backyard of a residence in the 900 block of Lois Avenue around noon, according to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Investigators said a resident saw Roddy-Figero knock on a neighbor's door and then go to the backyard of the home. The neighbor contacted police and he was detained Roddy-Figero on a street behind the residence, police said.

He was allegedly found in possession of property from an earlier burglary, investigators said. Investigators are asking anyone with information on the burglaries to contact Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety Detective Nick Epidendio at (408) 730-7650.
