Oakland Man Arrested in Crime Spree May Be Linked to Piedmont Robbery

Oakland police say a man who hijacked a car at gunpoint robbed two people in Rockridge and one in Emeryville Thursday morning and may be responsible for several more robberies, including one reported in Piedmont

A man arrested by the Oakland Police Department in connection with two Thursday morning robberies in Rockridge and one in Emeryville may also be linked to several other East Bay robberies, including one in Piedmont, according to this article in the Oakland Tribune.

Bay City News reported that the suspect was arrested Thursday near Oakland's Leona Heights Park and that police said two weapons were recovered along with possible items from robberies.

Piedmont's crime map shows a robbery reported in the 100 block of La Salle Avenue at 10:45 a.m. Thursday.
