Overturned Dump Truck Blocks Three Lanes on Hwy. 24

Westbound traffic lanes reopened about 4 p.m.

Bay City News--Three lanes were blocked on westbound state Highway 24 in Oakland after a dump truck turned over near state Highway 13, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The truck was carrying scrap metal, which spilled out onto the highway, according to the CHP. The crash was reported at 1:32 p.m., and the Sig-alert was issued at 1:41 p.m. Crews uprighted the truck and reopened traffic lanes about 4 p.m.
