Crime & Safety

Piedmont Police: Box Score, July 16-July 23

A by-the-numbers look at the previous week's activity by the Piedmont Police Department.

The figures here were compiled by Piedmont Patch from the Piedmont Police Department's weekly log (Monday afternoon through the following Monday morning). They are not official PPD statistics and Piedmont Patch is responsible for their accuracy.

Numbers are based on how calls and incidents were initially recorded in the PPD log. Some incidents may be assigned to a different category later, or may not result in a formal report of a crime. As a result, these numbers may not reflect the official "Uniform Crime Report" statistics that the department voluntarily reports to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
