Piedmont Was Wet and Wild in Sunday's Storm

Residents reported lots of flooding, plus fallen trees and branches.

Department of Public Works staff set up shop at the city's corporation yard last weekend to deal with potential fallout from the Dec. 2 storm. Among the incidents they faced that morning

A Sandringham Way resident reported that a city-owned street tree fell on her house, and another tree fell on a house on Trestle Glen Road. Branches fell on a car in the first block of Estrella Avenue. Other fallen branches were reported on Moraga Avenue and on Park Way.

A storm drain overflowed at Blair and Dudley avenues.

Flooding was reported at Piedmont Mddle School and on Blair Avenue, Ramona Avenue, Magnolia Avenue, Highland Avenue, Harvard Road, Olive Avenue, Bonita Avenue, Indian Gulch Road, Dudley Avenue and Mountain Avenue.
