Police Blotter: Home Burglary, Dispute Between Neighbors

The weekend police log.

Incidents highlighted in the blotter were recorded in the Piedmont Police Department log from noon on Sept. 27 through noon, Sept. 30. Not all incidents recorded in the log are included here. Information was supplied by the police and does not indicate any convictions.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 27

Residential burglary — Members of a Mountain Avenue family arrived home about 3:30 p.m. to find doors open and the house ransacked.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 28

Disturbance — A Wildwood Avenue resident apparently sprayed water from a garden hose into an adjacent yard during a morning dispute between neighbors. Police said no crime was committed and the dispute was settled about 20 minutes later.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 29

DUI arrest — One person was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated shortly before 11 p.m. near the junction of Grand and Lower Grand avenues. The vehicle involved was towed and the driver released after booking.
