Police Blotter: Stolen Wallet, Bad Parking, Non-Injury Accident

The weekend crime report.

Incidents highlighted in the blotter were recorded in the Piedmont Police Department log from noon on Dec. 13 through noon, Dec. 16. Not all incidents recorded in the log are included here. Information was supplied by the police and does not indicate any convictions.

False alarms: 11.

FRIDAY, DEC. 13

Suspicious circumstances — A red-haired man came to the door of a home on Trestle Glen Road shortly before noon and told the babysitter he was there to do work in the basement. The man left when the babysitter said she would need to call her employer and verify his identity before letting him in.

Out of gas
— An SUV stalled near the corner of Moraga Avenue and Red Rock Road, blocking traffic about 2:30 p.m. Police provided enough gas to start the vehicle and drive to a gas station.

SUNDAY, DEC. 15

Parking complaint — A caller reported at 11:40 a.m. that a BMW was "poorly parked" and taking up two parking spaces on Bonita Avenue.

Auto accident — A BMW was damaged enough in a non-injury accident about 2:50 p.m. on Sea View Avenue near the corner of Hampton Road that it could not be driven. The vehicle was towed.

MONDAY, DEC. 16

Petty theft — A caller reported that a wallet was stolen sometime Sunday afternoon at Grand Lake Ace Hardward.
