For more information, see "Update: Armed Robbery Suspects Captured After Flipping Car."

Lost dog — An animal control officer took a small dog found on Crest Road a few minutes after 6 p.m. to the Berkeley Animal Shelter.

TUESDAY, JULY 9

Grand theft — A Sunnyside Avenue resident reported that an iPad was stolen from a parked vehicle sometime in the past three days.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 10
Naked jogger — A Winsor Avenue resident reported seeing a nude jogger passing by twice, mostly recently about 5:45 a.m. The unclad exercise buff was described as a white male, possibly a teenager, about 5 feet tall. Officers searched the area but were unable to local anyone running in the buff.
Phone found — A Piedmont resident turned in a lost cell phone that was found on Nova Drive.
Home burglary — A security alarm was triggered at an Estates Drive home about 2:17 p.m., indicating motion in an interior hallway and a front door problem. A police officer checked the exterior of the home and found that it appeared secure, but the resident arrived home about 5 p.m. to find the house had, in fact, been burglarized.
Residential burglary — A home on St. James Drive was burglarized about 4:09 p.m. Police found a dining room door open after a security company reported an alarm at the residence.
THURSDAY, JULY 11
GPS stolen — A GPS device was stolen from a vehicle parked on Kingston Avenue the previous night, the owner reported at 4:25 p.m.
Packages stolen — Two packages containing women's undergarments were reported stolen from the front porch of a home on Blair Avenue. (Editor's note: The Oakland Police Department's problem-solving officer for Montclair reported last week that thefts of UPS and FedEx packages were on the rise. See "UPS, FedEx Package Thefts Increase in Oakland Hills" on Rockridge Patch for more details.)
Stolen vehicle found — Piedmont police located a stolen vehicle on Vernon Street in Oakland.
FRIDAY, JULY 12
