Prosecutors Link Convicted Killer Joseph Naso to Fifth Victim

Naso. 79, a former Piedmont resident, was convicted in Marin County last week of murdering four women.

Joseph Naso, the 79-year-old former Piedmont resident who was convicted last week of murdering four women, is also a suspect in the killing of a San Francisco woman whose body washed ashore in 1981, according to an article published Wednesday in the Marin Independent Journal.

Prosecutors asked Marin County Superior Court Judge Andrew Sweet to let them present evidence about that woman, Sharileea Patton, next week when the jury that convicted Naso returns to decide on sentencing, the article says.

Patton, who was 56 when she died, had listed her address on job applications as an apartment building in San Francisco that was managed by Naso at the time, the article says.
