Robbers Targeting Construction Workers in Nearby Oakland Neighborhoods

A robbery in Rockridge Monday afternoon is similar to one just off Piedmont Avenue last month.

Two construction workers were robbed at gunpoint on Clifton Street in Oakland's Rockridge neighborhood Monday afternoon, the latest in a series of similar robberies, according to an Oakland Tribune article.

A half dozen construction workers were also robbed at gunpoint while working on a building on Montell Street, off Piedmont Avenue, on Nov. 29, the article says.

Other similar robberies took place at a construction site in East Oakland on Monday and on Oakland's Webster Street on Nov. 18, when a group of house painters were robbed, it says.
