Suspect Wanted in Fatal 2013 Shooting in Oakland Arrested in Lassen County

Gary Shea was arrested north of Reno.

A suspect wanted for a fatal shooting in Oakland last summer was arrested Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Service in Lassen County, police and marshals officials said.

Gary Shea, 50, was arrested by U.S. Marshals deputies just north of Reno, Nevada. Oakland police said last year that Shea was wanted for the shooting death of 48-year-old Corey Prentice in the 4800 block of Daisy Street, near Mills College, at 10:52 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2013.

Prentice was shot multiple times and died in a hospital shortly afterward.
