Bay City News Service—Police arrested two men in Oakland early this morning following a armed robbery close to the Piedmont Avenue shopping district, Oakland police said.
At about 12:30 a.m., an officer in the area of Adeline and 32nd streets spotted two men who matched the description of suspects in an armed robbery that occurred Sunday night, Officer K. Quintella said. The officer approached the men, and they were arrested after the victims identified them as the robbers, police said.
The robbery of two people was reported around 8:15 p.m. Sunday in the 150 block of John Street, just off Piedmont Avenue. One of the suspects was armed with a gun, Quintella said. No one was injured in the robbery.
