UPDATE: Eastbound Hwy. 24, Tunnel Reopen

A vehicle fire closed eastbound Highway 24 at the Caldecott Tunnel as of 8:20 a.m. The highway reopened about 9:05 a.m.

Eastbound Highway 24 closed at the Caldecott Tunnel about 8:20 a.m. today and reopened about 9:05 a.m.

511.org reported that the closure was due to a vehicle fire. 

Many news helicopters converged on the area during the closure.
