Budget, Calendar, Contract Negotiations on School Board Agenda

The Piedmont Unified School District's Board of Education has a packed agenda for its meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 7 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers, 120 Vista Ave.
Highlights include:
- A look at the district's budget priorities for 2012-13, including how those may be impacted by Gov. Jerry Brown's recently released state budget.
- A public hearing on and adoption of the instructional calendar for 2012-13. At its Dec. 14 meeting, the board sent the calendar back for possible revisions in .
- A review of and public hearing on contract "openers" in negotiations between the district and the Association of Piedmont Teachers for the 2012-13 school year.
