City Council Names New Commission Members

Twenty Piedmont residents were appointed to the unpaid volunteer positions on seven city committees and commissions after a round of interviews at a special council meeting Thursday

The Piedmont City Council has named its appointees to vacant slots on seven city commissions and committees.

At a special meeting on March 29, the council chose the following appointees from among 36 applicants. They are:

Budget Advisory Committee (new committee)
Mary Geong
Steven Hollis
Bill Hosler
Tom Lehrkind
Tim Rood

CIP Review Committee
John Cooper (incumbent)

Civil Service Commission
Matthew Lifschiz (incumbent)
Lisa Lawson (incumbent)

Park Commission
Susan Herrick (incumbent)
Nancy Kent
Jamie Totsubo (incumbent)

Planning Commission
Tom Jintang Zhang
Susan Ode (Alternate)

Public Safety Committee (new committee)
John Erlich
Michael Gardner
Sue Lin
