City park commissioners and Parks Manager Mark Feldkamp are hoping to find ways to protect the historic entrance pillar at the divide between Grand and Lower Grand avenues — and the landscaping around it — from careless drivers, according to an article in The Piedmonter.

Suggestions for protective measures include more lighting and reflective dots.
