"Twenty for Tim" Launch Party

Piedmont City Council candidate Tim Rood will kick off his “Twenty for Tim” grassroots telephone campaign at a wine-and-cheese event January 8 at 2 pm. The event is open to all residents and will offer the opportunity to hear Rood discuss his vision for a financially and environmentally sustainable Piedmont.

Attendees who choose to join the Twenty for Tim effort will commit to making twenty phone calls to prospective voters on behalf of Rood’s candidacy.

Rood is the only candidate facing head-on the fact that within the next four years Piedmont could face a $2.2 million deficit in 2017 if current spending levels continue. A Piedmont resident since 2002, Rood is an urban planner who has consulted on walkable and sustainable development projects for cities throughout the Bay Area and beyond.

“I understand how to make municipalities accountable for their expenditures while improving their livability and reducing their carbon footprint,” says Rood. “These will be the goals of my service as a Piedmont city council member.”
