Piedmont voters, we want your help. As the Feb. 7, 2012 municipal election approaches and campaigning heats up, we are planning our coverage of candidates and issues during the next several weeks.

What issues are most important to you, and to Piedmont as a whole? What do you want to know about the candidates for the Piedmont City Council and the Piedmont Unified School District Board of Trustees? What answers do you want from them before you vote?

Piedmont will be choosing two city council members from a field of three candidates: Margaret Fujioka (incumbent), Bob McBain and Tim Rood.

For the school board, five candidates are vying for three seats: Nancy "Sunny" Bostrom, Jon Elliot, Sarah Pearson, Rick Raushenbush (incumbent) and Andrea Swenson.

Measure A, a proposed municipal sewer surtax, will also be on the ballot.
