Public Hearing on Community Pool Opening Time, Lap Lane Use

The Piedmont Recreation Commission invites public comment at its March 20 meeting.

The Piedmont Recreation Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 20, to hear resdients' comments on two issues at the Piedmont Community Pool: the opening hour of the pool on weekdays and access to designated lap swimming lanes by minors.

It's a continuation of the commission's discussion about those issues at its January 2013 meeting.

Public testimony, especially by pool users, is encouraged.

The commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers, 120 Vista Ave.

This hearing will be televised live on the City of Piedmont government access station KCOM Channel 27 and will also be available through streaming video on the city website, http://www.ci.piedmont.ca.us, under “on-line video.”

The staff report for this hearing will be available for public review on the city website on Friday, March 15.
