Skinner Bill to Regulate Ammunition Sales Goes to Committee

Assemblyember Nancy Skinner till present her proposed legislation to the state Assembly's public safety committee on Tuesday, April 2.

SACRAMENTO — Assemblymember Nancy Skinner (D-Berkeley) will present her legislation, AB 48, which would require anyone selling or transferring ammunition to an individual in California to require the buyer's identification, to be an authorized firearms dealer, and to report the sales to the Department of Justice.

Additionally, this bill makes it illegal for gun owners to purchase parts that allow them to convert their guns into assault-style weapons that can fire more than 10 rounds of bullets without reloading.
