Two Managers May Take the Plunge For 6-Month Contracts with City
Plan on Piedmont council agenda Monday as pool transition proceeds.
On its agenda for Monday, the City Council will consider six-month contracts for two pool administrators.
The council meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the council chambers, 120 Vista Ave.
As the operation of the pool passes from the Piedmont Swim Club to the city July 1, the city has lined up the services of two swim club managers for the six months starting July 1. The proposal is for $36,000 for swim club manager Joseph Perez and $27,000 for assistant manager Amanda Garcia.

Perez and Garcia have “detailed institutional knowledge” about the Piedmont pool, according to a staff report by Recreation Director Mark Delventhal. They have been interviewed by Jeff Eorio, the city’s aquatics consultant.
Delventhal said a preliminary personnel plan for pool management will be available for the council as it begins to review a tentative 2011-12 budget in May.
