Voter Registration Deadline is Jan. 23

Need to register before the Piedmont election? Here's how.

The deadline to register to vote for the Feb. 7, 2012 City of Piedmont General Municipal Election is Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, according to the Alameda County Registrar of Voters.

Alameda County residents must be citizens, 18 years old and not in prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony to be eligible to register to vote.

Voter registration affidavits are available at the Registrar of Voters office and at libraries, fire stations and post offices.  You may also download and complete the registration form on our website at www.acgov.org/rov.  Completed affidavits must be delivered to the Registrar of Voters office at 1225 Fallon Street, Room G-1, Oakland, CA 94612 or postmarked by Jan. 23 in order to be valid for this election.
