Walkers and Cyclists — Weigh In on Piedmont's Pedestrian-Bike Plan
The Piedmont Planning Commission meets Monday, Sept. 9. A public hearing on the city's pedestrian-bicycle plan is on the agenda.
The Piedmont Planning Commission will hold a public hearing Monday night, Sept. 9, on the Piedmont Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan.
The hearing follows an introduction to the plan by representatives of Eisen-Letunic, the transportation and planning consultant hired last month to prepare a master plan. They will discuss the scope of the project, which inclues a Safe Routes to School component, and outline a schedule for its completion.
The bike plan is the first major item on the commission's agenda Monday.
Other agenda items include design review for a second residential unit ("in-law apartment") on Park View and fences on Sheridan and Scenic avenues and Park Way.
The commission will also discuss and hold a public hearing on a lengthy list of proposed revisions to the city's zoning code. See "Bringing Piedmont's Zoning Code into the 21st Century" for a detailed look at those proposals.
The commission will meet at 5 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers, 120 Vista Ave. The complete meeting agenda is available on the City of Piedmont website here.
The meeting will be shown live on KCOM-TV, Channel 27, and iive-streamed here.
