Where to Volunteer on Earth Day

More than 90 sites in Oakland are looking for volunteers on Earth Day, Saturday, April 20. Among them are several near Piedmont, including Splash Pad Park and at the Morcom Rose Garden.

Nearly 100 parks, creeks and other neighborhood locations in Oakland — including some near Piedmont — are looking for volunteers this weekend.

Most of the sites registered with the City of Oakland will put volunteers to work from 9 a.m. to noon on Earth Day, Saturday, April 20. You may register at the individual site of your choice. Volunteers are asked to bring their own tools, gloves hats and sunscreen.
